    Hi all,

We just wanted to make you aware of our activities at the stand 114 (0114 - Adaptación al cambio climático de la agricultura de secano mediterránea: su contribución a la contaminación cero). We are presenting today our mobile VR app LIFE AMDRYC4. It is available for IOS and ANDROID (https://apkpure.com/es/life-amdryc4/com.UMU.LIFEAMDRYC4 or https://apps.apple.com/es/app/life-amdryc4/id1540739695) and you can also play through the web application at our official site (http://lifeamdryc4.eu/aplicacion/). The application is available in 5 languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French and English) and allows you to simulate the effects of agricultural practices on the soil productivity, and CO2 emissions. We would love to have your feedback on this and we are happy to answer any question you may have about the LIFE AMDRYC4 project.

  2. Aviva Lessard joined RC in January as a communications specialist. I visited the booth with a friend from Guinea Conakry. RC was founded in 2017 on the occasion of the Soil Health Symposium. Organizing the symposium is one of the core activities of their team. RC has a very interesting interactive map. It shows farms that are member of RC. One can filter farms by products and project different background maps. It's a great way to increase visibility, build ownership, and encourage farmer-to-farmer sharing and learning. All open source, great! I wonder if this is not something we should develop further to make it a global facility. Many initiatives could and the initiative as a whole benefit from this.

  3. Thank you for sharing with everyone the work you are doing with soil regeneration and the climate. I would like to invite you to visit our Stand 19 - Agripower Australia, to learn about the benefits that silicon fertiliser has for conservation agriculture, soil and plant health, and carbon sequestration. Please leave a message for us if you would like to meet and talk more! www.agripower.com.au

Hi, this is Josephine Chen from HomelandGreen, Hong Kong of Stand 27 and Stand 35. I would never have thought that I could show my appreciation directly to your group here at this virtual display of 4p1000 when I brought with me three young farmers and environmentalists to attend the first 'Living Soil Symposium' in Montreal in 2017. Soil is never a sexy topic in Hong Kong and you cannot imagine the impact your group has made on the three young people. They are now working by my side as volunteers to help HomelandGreen promote regenerative farming in Hong Kong as well as facilitating our voluntary tree planting activities in Inner Mongolia to combat desertification and alleviate poverty. I couldn't agree with your Chairlady more that it is the civilian groups that need to be mobilized so that this global effort to fight against climate change and pollution can continue to gain and sustain momentum when she addressed the participants at the Opening Ceremony. I am greatly inspired by the way you promote regenerative farming in Canada by forming these networks. There is one more dimension of regenerative farming we try to promote in Hong Kong, though. In addition to all the cultural practices you mention in the presentation, we are also helping farmers to learn the science and practice of plant nutritional management as not only healthy soil grows healthy plants but healthy plants also enhance soil health.

Good afternoon. I am Dr. Nandini from BAIF Development Research Foundation, India. We are representing our work on 'Soil restoration for achieving sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation and mitigation' through stand no 37. Please visit our stand no 37 and also join for video chat today between 2 to 3 pm (IST).

  6. Good evening. I am Dr. Nandini from BAIF Development Research Foundation, India. We are representing our work on 'Soil restoration for achieving sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation and mitigation' through stand no 37. Please visit our stand and join our event on 18-05-2021 between 14.00 to 15.00 IST.
The topic for the event is 'Tree based farming system (Wadi)'. BAIF Development Research Foundation in partnership with farming families, has evolved and promoted “Tree Based Farming System” popularly known as “Wadi”. The Wadi model has been widely adopted by more than 0.45 million families in 25 states of India. This has resulted in significant increase in farm income, reduction in distress migration, better nutrition and improved quality of lives of the participating families. The programme interventions have resulted in various environmental benefits including improved biodiversity and substantial sequestration of carbon in soil and wood biomass. This session aims at sharing the details of the Wadi model and our experience pertaining to it.

  8. Good evening. I am Dr. Nandini from BAIF Development Research Foundation, India. We are participating in this virtual EU Fair and have shared our work on 'Soil restoration for achieving sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation and mitigation' through stand no 37. Please do visit our stand for understanding the work in India.

This is also to share with you all that we have planned a sharing event on 25th May between 14.00 to 15.00 IST (+/- 5.5 UTC). The topic of this sharing event is 'Environmentally sound and climate smart program interventions through BAIF Development Research Foundation', India. It will be based on BAIF, India's efforts on ground to build resilience of vulnerable farming communities against climate change effects by introducing on ground, the multisectorial program interventions for resilient farming system.

So, please participate for enriching knowledge!  See you there!
