Summary

At SoilWatch, we believe in empowering communities to create their own solutions in the climate emergency. Adapting to climate change, preventing desertification and enhancing food security aren’t separate paths in development, but come together in the soil. By applying remote sensing technology and machine learning, we are able to provide up to date, reliable and low cost soil carbon measurements and develop verified carbon removal projects in North and East Africa. These projects not only remove CO2 from the atmosphere, but mitigate conflict and food insecurity in the most vulnerable areas where our team has direct on the ground experience.

    Hi all,

We just wanted to make you aware of our activities at the stand 114 (0114 - Adaptación al cambio climático de la agricultura de secano mediterránea: su contribución a la contaminación cero). We are presenting today our mobile VR app LIFE AMDRYC4. It is available for IOS and ANDROID (https://apkpure.com/es/life-amdryc4/com.UMU.LIFEAMDRYC4 or https://apps.apple.com/es/app/life-amdryc4/id1540739695) and you can also play through the web application at our official site (http://lifeamdryc4.eu/aplicacion/). The application is available in 5 languages (Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French and English) and allows you to simulate the effects of agricultural practices on the soil productivity, and CO2 emissions. We would love to have your feedback on this and we are happy to answer any question you may have about the LIFE AMDRYC4 project.

Maria Jose Martinez (Research Coordinator), Carmen Perez Sirvent (Research Coordinator), Manuel Hernandez Perez (VideoGame Designer and Project Manager).

  2. Thank you for sharing with everyone the work you are doing with carbon sequestration in Belgium. I would like to invite you to visit our Stand 19 - Agripower Australia, to learn about the benefits that silicon fertiliser has for conservation agriculture, soil and plant health, and carbon sequestration. Please leave a message for us if you would like to meet and talk more! www.agripower.com.au

  3. Our team is available to chat all this week, just send us a message at david@soilwatch.eu and say hello!

  4. Though the fair is over, I am happy to have the chance to look at your stand again. Measurement and monitoring of soil carbon it the question that prompted me to contact 4 per 1000 in the first place. The traditional methods, as you say, are cumbersome and inaccurate. We don't have a drone. However, it is important information that you offer. It can be used for future reference on our small Andean plot as well as for better understanding of the actual issues. The spirals you present in the third slide of the slide show are extremely useful as the illustrate problem and solution precisely. I would like to lift them to use in explaining our situation. Thank you for your presentation.
