Description

Applications for the G20 Global Land Initiative grant to support land restoration closes on 31 March 2024. Up to 60 field restoration projects will be support this year, with grants ranging between USD 5,000 and 15,000. Civil society organizations from any region of the world, which are involved in community actions to restore land, are eligible. The G20, or Group of Twenty, is an intergovernmental forum of the world's major developed and developing economies. The Global Initiative for Reducing Land Degradation and Enhancing Conservation of Terrestrial Habitats (G20 Global Land Initiative) was launched by G20 leaders in 2020 during the Saudi Presidency. The leaders' ambition, and mandate of the  Initiative they created is: a 50 percent reduction in degraded land by 2040, on a voluntary basis.
