| Description | Following the launch of the "4 per 1000" Initiative during COP 21 of the UNFCCC in Paris by the French Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Stephane Le Fol promoting carbon sequestration in soil through agroecological practices by farmers, it seems that t here is finally a way in which farmers can be paid to be soil carbon stewards (EBDA, Climate farmers), potentially scaled globally through the application of the Sustainable Food Trust global farm metric. |
