Background information

Rice can be considered as increasing food crop in Africa, which is overtaking maize, sorghum and cassava as main staple food in many regions of our partner countries. Within the 13 countries of the green innovation centres for the agriculture and food sector program, 5 are working on the rice value chain: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali and Nigeria.

A second meeting was held during the international green week in Berlin, in January 2017.

This space offers you the possibilty to exchange, to explore and to benefit from the experience of different actors in the rice value chain!
