Soils are the first land carbon reservoir, and therefore, key allies in the fight against climate change and the reduction of GHG emissions. Agriculture needs soils to produce food and ensure food security, but like any productive activity, it contributes to the emission of GHGs. However, not all forms of agriculture are the same. What are the benefits of the model of agriculture that we promote?
The model of agriculture and innovation promoted by Aapresid is an ally against climate change. It increases soil carbon sequestration while reduces GHG emissions: CO2 emissions are reduced by 40%, the requirement of synthetic fertilizers is reduced by half and it improves productivity, this means it allows the production of more grains per CO2 unit emitted.
