Summary

Our goal is to enable the transition of 50.000 smallholder farmers from the coffee monoculture to a biodiverse food production system by 2030.

Soil health and biodiversity are at the heart of Biodiversal’s value proposition.

Join us to better understand how the coffee sector can catalyze a sound contribution to climate change while improving livelihoods for small scale producers.

Biodiversal incubates agriculture production projects and channels investment to small-scale coffee-growing families with the goal of achieving together the transition from monocultures to a resilient production model through biodiverse farming systems.

Perspective

Our goal is to enable the transition of 50.000 smallholder farmers from the coffee monoculture to a biodiverse food production system by 2030.  To do that, we call for impact investors to help us catalyse change.

Partnerships

Clients / Target group

Any institution interested in regenerative practices around coffee production.

Impact investors focused in Latin America who are willing to elevate coffee culture into a resilient and regenerative agriculture model at farm level.

Established collaborations and partnerships

We are currently partnering with universities around regenerative agriculture research (Topics: crop association to coffee; smart horticulture and biofertilizers production).

Impact-driven investors are currently funding vermicompost pilot project in 32 coffee farms in Colombia.

Desired collaborations and partnerships

We are open for collaboration with:

  • Universities willing to do research/impact measurement on regenerative practices in the coffee sector.
  • Impact investors willing to fund regenerative food production systems pilot projects in Colombia.

4 per 1000

We’d love to see the 4 X 1000 initiative become a structural pillar for environmental policies around the world, and specifically in Latin America. Our company is open to helping 4 X 1000 organize local events and communicate its goals urgently and effectively in our region, and we offer our team and infrastructure for that purpose in any way you see fit.

  1. Hi Margarita and Felipe, please have a look at the page! I hope that is how you wanted it to be!

  2. Thank you for sharing with everyone the work you are doing in promotion of biodiversity. I would like to invite you to visit our Stand 19 - Agripower Australia, to learn about the benefits that silicon fertiliser has for conservation agriculture, soil and plant health, and carbon sequestration. Please leave a message for us if you would like to meet and talk more! www.agripower.com.au

  3. As a coffee lover, I have grave concern on coffee farming's impact on environment.  Glad to see the work done and it has to be economically sustainable to have a real long term impact.  Thanks for the sharing.  A report with lots of details.
